No Pressure…

No Pressure….I often still push myself to achieve goals…Resulting in me being more  stressed & tired…This then becomes detrimental to me…But then my awareness kicks in…I think to myself “No Pressure”…Take a breath…Take a moment…It’ll wait..It’s not that important…I am important…My health is important…My well being is important…When I take the pressure off my body relaxes…I can feel the cortisol reducing in my body…

So ask yourself, as I do,  next time you are pushing yourself…”What am I doing?”…”Do I need to do this?”…”Will it matter if I don’t do this today, tomorrow or never?”…”What is more important me or the task I am trying to achieve?”….”Is this for me? or someone else?”…The more honest you can be in your answers the more you will naturally begin to look after self…

Some things may not be able to be avoided…But many things can be…Put your own well being first…Let go of the pressure to please others…Release any expectation of what you think you should be doing…Work within your boundaries…By all means push those boundaries, I do, but push gently…Push only with awareness of self…Be kind to self…Take a seat…Take a break…Take the pressure off…NL x
