Pain & Gain…

2014-10-01 10.11.43

Today i am aware i do not exercise enough…This is partly due to my Fibro but also due to the latest health issue…it is confirmed that i have had an inner ear infection..So its dropped my energy to a new all time low…However i am now on the upward path to more energy…Hurrrrrah…

So maybe just maybe i can get back to being more mobile…I do try to do some Yin Yoga…Naturally i love to swim being a swimming instructor..And i have been around horses all my life…Now this is when being realistic but positive has to be a part of the equation…You may not be where you once were but you can choose to continue to strive to move forward…

This is when we have to be very honest with self…Do we actually want to improve??…Does the attention we get through being ill outweigh the potential loss of said attention if we reach a level of recovery??..Before you say “of course not i want to be well”…Have a little ponder…

I understand and use Holistic Nutrition & am a Life Coach NLP…I understand the secondary gain often achieved by the attention that illness can bring…I have met and worked with many people who make all the right noises to want to get better…But actually they have no intention of dong so…

In fairness this is usually a subconscious trigger reaction to gaining the attention that they may not have received before…The illness becomes like a badge of honour…

They can be worse than others…They can be the one with the failed attempts of recovery….They are almost in competition to be the worst…Talk of trying to heal will be countered acted by the lack of positive results not matter what they do…

In reality they will not have tried many solutions…Their identity becomes their illness…Individuals will detach from their own responsibility of their progress but rather blame Dr’s, Medication,Genetics, no support…

With some this will be valid but for many these are excuses…Attention is addictive we all want attention on some level of some kind…When we loose our purpose we have to replace this with something else…The attention received from an illness for many can fill this gap…

So which came first the pain or the gain???…Often it is the pain but the gain is not far behind…So have a think…What have you gained from your illness??…I have new knowledge…I strive to work out how to improve and alleviate my health issues…I am determined to achieve better more balanced health…

Glass half empty or glass half full??…Both are a choice…We can choose to be positive…To change your life you must first change your mind…

“Break through’s and solutions to problems are generally not solved by being approached from the same angle…Change your angle”NL
