Have Wheels Will Travel…

When your legs don’t work look for alternatives…Its not that i cannot walk…But when i do walk i usually have to endure very unhappy “burning” legs…And when i do walk too much i have wobbly legs and they get very heavy…All Fibro related…

Ankles often cease up making walking uncomfortable…I also have the added pleasure of arthritis in my hips so that can be a tad uncomfortable…Plus i have intermittent Planter Factitious in my left heel…Quite a combination so i always keep my walking legs for when i really have to use them…Generally this is for everyday use around the home…

When more leg distance is required i use my Scoot…The picture is of my first venture into having a mobility scooter or scoot as i like to call them…Very comfy…Quite speedy…Obviously customised by me 🙂 …However a tad big to fit in my car…So now i have a “boot scoot”…Light weight and nearly as comfy…

It was not my plan in life to be in my 50’s and using a scoot…But its where i am and as they say “needs must”…Its all about saving energy for the good stuff we want to do and finding solutions…There is plenty we can use to aid us and these products are not here to make us feel less able…

I have learn’t that those who choose to judge us with our invisible illness show a greater judgement of themselves…So i make no excuses…I use whatever helps me…I get to do more…Go to more places…I get to enjoy life again…

I do not see restrictions in life i see challenges that can be overcome…I love my scoot it is my legs…My freedom…My solution…

“Never reject help…No matter what form it takes…All things are sent when we need them…Be this physical or emotional a person or an object…Allow yourself to receive”NL
